Music Ministry

Finance Council

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

Offertory Counters

A group that counts the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Council

The Parish Council is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of Our Lady of Pompeii Parish.

Adult Altar Server

Men and women who assist at Mass or Funeral masses to enhance the worship of our faith community.

Padre Pio Prayer Group

Held every First Friday of the month, evenings at 5:30PM in the Chapel.


Volunteers who assist people to their seat if necessary. They also take up the collection.

Ministers of Care

Volunteers who bring the body of Christ to homebound parishioners and parishioners in hospitals and convalescent homes.

Prayer Shawl

Men and women who knit prayer shawls for the ill, meet every First Friday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Wednesday Night Prayer Group

Join us Wednesday nights at 7 pm in the Chapel to read and reflect upon the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel, Liturgy of the Hours (books provided for new members), and prayer (intercessory, and alternating Rosary or Divine Mercy). Contact Jerry Amendola at 203-467-3656.

Altar Server

Boys and girls from grade 3 and above who assist the priest at the liturgy.

Baptism Preparation

Preparing parents for the formation of their child’s faith.

Eucharistic Minister

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound.

Fellowship Committee

Volunteers who coordinate social activities and gatherings of parishioners during the year.


Reader who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services.

Church Cleaners

Volunteers who clean the Church every Thursday at 8:30 am. This includes the washing and ironing of purificators, corporals, and altar linens.


Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments.

Shelter Supper

Provides hot meals every second Thursday of the month to the homeless.

Book Club

Meets every second Thursday of the month at 10:00 am in the LOMR.
